After months of consistent rumors, Disney confirmed that Spider-Man will receive a coaster at Shanghai Disneyland.
Not much was revealed about the storyline or coaster but it will have Peter Parker getting us out of a tight spot at very high speeds. From the concept art, it looks like we’re continuing the story of the Worldwide Engineering Brigade, a location that has been utilized across the Marvel Theme Park Universe.

It also looks like we may have some Spider-Bots and energy portals to deal with. A part of me wonders if Electro will be the villain of this attraction and if Doctor Strange may make a save for Spider-Man during this coaster as well.
Scott Trowbridge, Portfolio Executive Creative Director at Walt Disney Imagineering, will be overseeing the Spider-Man-themed projects across the globe. Trowbridge led the creative team on Universal’s The Amazing Adventures of Spider-Man.
