The Marvel Studios Animation panel today at San Diego Comic-Con revealed that X-Men ’97 would premiere in Fall 2023 on Disney+. It was also revealed that the revived series would get a second season.
Rogue, Beast, Gambit, Jean Gray, Wolverine, Storm, Jubilee, and Cyclops will be the team for X-Men ’97. Magneto will now lead the team. Cable, Bishop, Forge, Morph, Nightcrawler, and Sunspot are all returning in the series.
The theme of the new season will be “why do we need the X-Men?” I think it will be an interesting theme to explore. The series antagonists will include Seb Shaw, Emma Frost, Calypso, Val Cooper, and Mister Sinister.
