Will Deadpool Be In ‘Avengers: Infinity Defense’?

Will one of Marvel Studios’ most popular characters make the jump to a permanent attraction?

During D23: The Ultimate Disney Fan Event, Disney Experiences Chairman Josh D’Amaro confirmed that the planned Avengers Multiverse attraction is moving forward and it will be named Avengers: Infinity Defense.

D’Amaro also carved a sizeable portion of his presentation to Deadpool. The merc with a mouth isn’t just lighting cinemas on fire, he’s a hoot at Avengers Campus as well. D’Amaro was willing to capture the moment with Deadpool over D23 but the question remains: will Deadpool find his way into Avengers: Infinity Defense?

Deadpool and Wolverine passed a billion dollars at the box office. The film was a much-needed win for Marvel Studios. Now when it comes to Avengers: Infinity Defense, the attraction allegedly was going to feature as many characters as possible. It would be a darn shame if somehow Deadpool doesn’t make the cut. First, it would truly make the Marvel Theme Park Universe feel like a multiverse, and second, the character is popular and can work within the settings we’ve seen at Avengers Campus.

Truthfully it would be an unforced error to exclude Deadpool from Avengers: Infinity Defense. Obviously there could be legitimate reasons to exclude, the character is Rated R or it could be simply that Disney may not be able to get Ryan Reynolds to agree to a return for a theme park attraction. However, I have a feeling most MCU cast members are willing to play ball when it comes to the Disney Parks. If Robert Downey Jr. is willing to do the Disney Parks, everyone should be.

Deadpool is a reliable and funny draw. It would be a stellar addition if Deadpool is featured in Avengers: Infinity Defense. This attraction has been years in the making and it’s highly-anticipated. The attraction can’t play it safe when it comes to the multiverse. Walt Disney Imagineering needs to avoid a retread of Infinity War and opt for some bold characters, locations, and crossovers.

Live up to this concept art and some!

Final answer: I think Deadpool actually has a good shot at being included in Avengers: Infinity Defense. They are going to want all the big draws in this attraction and I can’t imagine them resisting the temptation to utilize Deadpool.
