La Nouba closed on December 31, 2017. So, it’s been a while since we have had a Cirque du Soleil show at Disney Springs. We have known that this would be a joint effort between Walt Disney Imagineering, Walt Disney Animation, and Cirque du Soleil. We even revealed the concept art for the show a while back.
The show will have Disney’s storytelling and heart mixed with Cirque’s artistry. The story of the show follows a girl and her father is an animator. He keeps these characters close to her. Today at the presentation the new show will have animated characters interacting with Cirque performers.
Walt Disney Animation is making new animated sequences for the show.
Previews for the show will begin on March 20, 2020, leading up to the world premiere on April 17.
A name for the show hasn’t been revealed yet.
