Universal Beijing Resort Reveals Concept Art for CityWalk Coming in 2021

Universal Beijing Resort has revealed concept art for Universal CityWalk Beijing.

Universal Beijing Resort is set to open in 2021. The resort will include a CityWalk, which is an entertainment district with restaurants, shops, and other entertainment venues. Universal Beijing Resort’s budget rose to $6.5 billion in 2018, who knows where the budget is at now.

Universal CityWalk Beijing will be at the front of the park similar to Universal Orlando’s CityWalk.

“As the starting point of every guest’s UBR journey, CityWalk provides guests their first glimpse of the beyond-imagination experience they can expect at Universal Beijing Resort,” said Tom Mehrmann, President and General Manager of Universal Beijing Resort. “However, CityWalk is also designed to stand as a destination in its own right, as a new high-quality recreation and entertainment option for residents and tourists in Beijing. We believe CityWalk will drive the formation of a new cultural business center, giving a strong boost to Beijing’s economic development.”

Universal CityWalk Beijing will have 24 venues which include a cinema. The new CityWalk will have a lot of new charm. CityWalk Beijing will be home of new brands like Cutie Cones Ice Cream, Neon Street Hawkers, and CityWalk Wubei Craft Food and Beer.

Universal CityWalk Beijing will also have versions of Orlando favorites such as Red Oven Pizza Bakery, The Cowfish Sushi Burger Bar, and the Toothsome Chocolate Emporium & Savory Feast Kitchen, which will be the largest Toothsome at any Universal resort.

Universal CityWalk Beijing will blend cutting edge design with Chinese culture. A lot of the other food and beverage locations will offer interactive experiences. I think one of the biggest reveals from the announcement of Universal CityWalk Beijing is the Universal CityWalk Cinema. The cinema will be the largest commercial IMAX screen in Beijing. The cinema will have 11 theatres and over 2,000 seats.

CityWalk is scheduled to open along with Universal Studios Beijing in 2021. Outside of the CityWalk section, the actual theme park will feature themed lands like Transformers: Metrobase, Jurassic World Isla Nublar, Kung Fu Panda Land of Awesomeness, Minion Land, and The Wizarding World of Harry Potter.
