Disneyland’s The Tropical Hideaway to open before end of 2018

The new Adventureland restaurant also revealed some menu items.

Earlier this year, Disney announced that Aladdin’s Oasis would become a new dining location called “The Tropical Hideaway.” The restaurant will be adjacent from the Jungle Cruise. The Tropical Hideaway is next to Walt Disney’s Enchanted Tiki Room. Both attractions obviously influenced this new outdoor eatery.

Disney Parks Blog released a sneak peek at what menu items we would discover at this new Adventureland restaurant. According to the release, “This new spot will serve as an exotic marketplace for discovering extraordinary eats from all corners of the world.”

Food options are highlighted by steamed Bao bun in three different styles. Spiced Vegetable Bao, Kaffir Lime Chicken Bao, and Bulgogi Beef Bao. Other offerings that were included in the sneak peek include a chilled ramen salad, and a Sweet Pineapple Lumpia (a spring roll filled with pineapple and sweet cream cheese). More tropical snacks and dishes will be revealed when The Tropical Hideaway opens later this year.

This is Disney’s brand new description of The Tropical Hideaway:

After picking up a snack or two, choose a spot on the open-air dock, soak in the sights of the Jungle River waterfront, sit back, and listen to the musical sounds of the tropics — all while experiencing delicious new tastes! After the sun goes down, flickering torch lights will illuminate the area, transforming The Tropical Hideaway into an enchanting nighttime venue.

The Tropical Hideaway should be a popular destination for guests staying at Disneyland Resort. The restaurant should arrive by the end of the year so it will most likely be available during the holiday season.
