Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge is one of the most anticipated theme park expansions of all time. Fans are already questioning how Disney is going to be able to keep up with the capacity in this state of the art, new land.
We recently found out what the cantina will be officially called. On the planet of Batuu, in the Black Spire Outpost there will be Oga’s Cantina. Oga’s Cantina will be serving pilots, bounty hunters, smugglers, locals, and galactic travelers alike.
The cantina is run by Oga Garra, and the cantina follows a strict set of rules to keep their unruly patrons in check. Also at the cantina is RX-24 also known as Rex, the former StarSpeeder 3000 pilot from the original Star Tours. Rex will now serve as the DJ of the cantina.

Get ready to listen to some unique music, taste the best drinks in the galaxy, and surround yourself with a colorful cast of characters. You never know what will happen at the cantina!
Disney also announced that Oga’s Cantina will serve alcohol. Which stirred up some controversy considering Disneyland has been dry (outside of the exclusive Club 33) for years. So the inclusion of alcohol in Disneyland has brought up some debate.
Although some are frustrated by Disney’s decision to bring both Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge and alcohol into Disneyland. Disney promises the best drinks in the galaxy. Not to mention the utilization of the colorful cast of characters. You could only imagine the possible stories Disney will be able to tell inside this amazing cantina.
I’m sure as we get closer to 2019, more and more will be revealed about Oga Garra and her cantina. I’m just hoping there is more food options in this busy land other then just one spot.
Oga’s Cantina will open at Disneyland and Disney’s Hollywood Studios in 2019.
