‘Toy Story 4’ Ideas for Disney Parks

Toy Story 4 provided new characters that could potentially integrate into Disney Parks.

Toy Story 4 has made $922 million at the box office worldwide. The Toy Story franchise has always been a darling for Disney’s consumer products and parks & resort division. Now those two divisions are one with Disney’s Parks, Experiences, and Products division.

After watching Toy Story 4, I immediately saw potential in this particular film giving us new Disney Parks experiences. The biggest reason for that was the amount of excellent new characters that appeared in Toy Story 4. So, here are some of my ideas on how you can incorporate Toy Story 4 into Disney Parks.

Relating to the Toy Story Midway Mania centered ideas. Yes, I understand that the story of Toy Story Midway Mania involves Andy but in a similar vein to Star Tours and time travel let’s just turn a blind eye to it.

Duke Caboom Canada Attraction/Show

Just recently O’Canada! with Martin Short closed at the Canada pavilion at Epcot’s World Showcase. A new circle-vision film is being brought into to replace the original film. There have been very few details on this film. What if down the line Disney wants to add some more character flare — like they are doing with the rest of World Showcase — to O’Canada there is a perfect opportunity. Keanu Reeves is a Canadian and he voices Canada’s Greatest Stuntman Duke Caboom. A version of O’Canada with Duke Caboom would be hilarious. Maybe a brand-new attraction in the Canada pavilion for Duke Caboom could work too.

Ducky and Bunny Midway Mania Level

This would be an overlay or update to the current Toy Story Midway Mania attraction around the world at Disney Parks. Adding a level that features Ducky and Bunny talking would be fantastic. The two would hurl playful insults at guests and the design for the level could come directly from the carnival background in Toy Story 4. Also, what if during this level there is a secret spot you can hit and Ducky and Bunny help you get more points similar to a scene in the film. Ducky and Bunny are voiced by Keegan-Michael Key and Jordan Peele. Even though Toy Story Midway Mania attracts guests it would still be cool if it got updated every once in awhile similar to Star Tours.

Duke Caboom Midway Mania Level

Duke Caboom getting his own level in Toy Story Midway Mania would be quite fun. There is a lot of possibilities for his own level. It could be stereotypical and feature maple leaves and maple syrup. It could even do something related to hockey and maybe that section of the ride gets colder. There are many possibilities on how to do this level.

Forky Midway Mania Level

Arguably one of the most popular characters to come out of Toy Story 4. Forky’s level of Toy Story Midway Mania could have guests shoot trash into garbage cans or something similar due to Forky’s obsession with being trash. This would add another unique challenge to Toy Story Midway Mania while incorporating a character who will be referenced for years to come.

Ducky and Bunny Show

A show that is in the same mindset and tone of Turtle Talk with Crush and Monsters Inc. Laugh Floor. An interactive show with Ducky and Bunny discussing various topics and what it’s truly like to be a toy. Other characters could appear throughout the show too. Having Key & Peele humor in a Disney Park would be worth it even if it’s just through this show. Also, Pixar characters work best when it comes to these interactive shows.

Toy Story 4 created memorable characters and in my opinion, they all have the potential to do well in Disney Parks. I think Toy Story Midway Mania is a fun attraction but even the fun attractions still need special updates or added experiences. Duke Caboom could really work out in the Canada pavilion. Forky seems like a character that will be around for a while. Ducky and Bunny are a hilarious duo that could work in various ways throughout the Disney Parks.
