Stan Lee’s Final Cameo Will Most Likely Happen in ‘Avengers: Endgame’

If Avengers: Endgame wasn’t already sad enough.

Avengers: Endgame will be the official end of the Infinity Saga (MCU phases 1–3). Stan Lee’s many cameos have become a staple in the Marvel Cinematic Universe.

Avengers: Endgame co-director Joe Russo revealed on the press tour that Endgame would be Stan Lee’s final patented cameo.

“I believe that his final cameo is in Endgame. I don’t remember if he was well enough to do the [Spider-Man: Far From Home] cameo or not,” said Russo. “I grew up on these comic books, Stan Lee was an idol of mine when I was a kid. To be able to have the opportunity to not only work on the material that he created but to work with him is a childhood dream come true.”

Stan Lee had cameos in the Disney owned Marvel Cinematic Universe, Sony’s Marvel properties, and Fox Entertainment’s Marvel films (now owned by The Walt Disney Company).

Now, the big question for the Avengers: Endgame cameo is that did Stan Lee’s cameo character survive the snap? If he did will we see him in the post-snap support group? Will Stan Lee’s final cameo be his most emotional? This is really tugging at my heartstrings. Even if his character was scheduled to be dusted I couldn’t see Disney in their right minds doing it. It would just be too painful and distasteful.

Stan Lee passed away in November. He’s confirmed to have a cameo in Endgame. It will just be interesting to see how his character is done. Spider-Man: Far From Home will probably not have a Stan cameo.

Well, Avengers: Endgame will be the end of the Stan Lee cameos. Truly a staple of Marvel films and something that will be dearly missed. Avengers: Endgame is in theaters on April 26. The film is directed by Joe and Anthony Russo.
