Hello everyone and welcome to today’s Six Flags Magic Mountain construction update! Construction has really ramped up from the previous update a couple of months ago.

The Golden Bear Theater is completely demolished except for the concrete slab that used to be the seating area for the shows. On the permit, it states that the slab will be remaining and there are new spray-painted markers on the slab suggesting they will likely reuse that for new support structures for the rumored new coaster. We do not know what attraction Magic Mountain will be getting for 2025, but it is heavily rumored to be a major roller coaster built either by the manufacturers Vekoma or B&M. It was described to me by someone who has seen the plans that this coaster will be like a “flying motorcycle”. Not sure what that means, but that seems to confirm my theory of this being some type of motorbike coaster likely made by Vekoma.

There are numerous survey markers around the project site stretching from the entrance fountain area to the two flat rides over by the Superman ride tower. This rollercoaster is sure to be very large and in the coming weeks we will have permits and site plans filed with the county to go over, but for now, our speculation remains in three teasers the park has recently put up.

Each of the three teasers has a robotic bird which seems to be the logo for the new attraction. I have no idea what this bird means so it must tie into the story of the coaster. The middle one is the most interesting because it states that, “Epic Thrills Are Cycling In” and that instantly makes me think it could be a motorbike coaster which Vekoma is very good at making. (Ex: Tron Lightcycle Run at Disney Parks)
It will be very interesting to watch this project develop and stay tuned to Boardwalk Times for more updates and info about this new coaster as it comes out!
