According to Walt Disney World News Today, a new restaurant re-theming will be coming to the Disneyland park. The new restaurant will open on April 13 as part of PIXAR Fest. The Tomorrowland quick service will be changing into a Pizza Planet. The restaurant is suppose to be only temporary. Yet we all know with Disney Parks. Temporary sometimes becomes permanent.
Redd Rockett’s Pizza Port has been touted as one of the worse restaurants in Disneyland. So a Toy Story re-theme may bring life back into it. This would be the second time a Pizza Planet has been in a Disney Park. The first being at Disney’s Hollywood Studios. Before ultimately being replaced by PizzeRizzo, a Muppet themed pizza parlor.
Pizza Planet is well known in pop culture. Mostly being connected to the Toy Story franchise. Although the Pizza Planet truck has appeared as an Easter Egg in multiple Pixar films. It only makes sense that Disney brings this restaurant to an event named after Pixar.
During it’s time at Hollywood Studios. The Pizza Planet restaurant was popular with guests.
This move hasn’t been confirmed by Disney Parks yet. The Boardwalk Times will update this story if new information becomes available.
