Three Marvel Expansions to Come to Disney Parks by 2020

Characters like Spider-Man, Ant-Man and the Wasp, and more will be coming to Disney Parks.

Three new expansions to Disney parks worldwide are bringing Marvel to America, Europe, and China.

Disneyland’s California Adventure is saying goodbye to “a bug’s land” and the Avengers and Spider-Man will be joining the Guardians of the Galaxy for a “completely immersive Super Hero universe,” according to Marvel. There’s not much information about attractions that will headline with Guardians of the Galaxy: Mission Breakout!, but Disney did patent a new ride last year. Could we possibly be getting a Spider-Man ride?

Marvel is coming to Disneyland

“It’s Tough to Be a Bug” closed March 19 and the rest of “a bug’s land” will close late this summer, I’m guessing after Pixar Pier opens in June.

Disneyland Paris’ Walt Disney Studios will also be getting a Marvel expansion in 2020 that includes a brand new Iron Man attraction. This “hyper-kinetic” adventure, will follow Tony Stark and the Avengers, according to Marvel.

Disneyland Paris will already get into the Marvel spirit starting in June. As a part of their 25th anniversary celebration, Marvel Summer of Super Heroes is bringing our favorite heroes like Black Widow and Captain America to Paris for the first time.

The park expansion is reaching its way to Hong Kong Disneyland, too. An Ant-Man and The Wasp Ride will join the Iron Man experience, which according to Marvel is the most popular ride in the park.

The next generation of heroes opens at Disneyland in California Adventure, Walt Disney Studios in Paris, and Hong Kong Disneyland in 2020.
