Pitching The New Star Tours Sequences Coming in 2024

What planets should be included in the next update of Star Tours?

In 2024, Star Tours will be receiving some new sequences. It’s been confirmed that Ahsoka will be featured in one of them. Yet since the Disney+ Star Wars Era began, Star Tours hasn’t made any updates despite all the new exciting locales.

Here are some Star Tours sequences we would love to experience.

Aldhani from ‘Andor’

Just look at this stunning visual! I mean come on wouldn’t it be exciting to fly through the Eye of Aldhani from Andor? This could also be a way to get some Andor representation inside Star Tours. I also think it would be a change of pace for Star Tours to have a visually pleasing sequence instead of a typical action beat. The Eye of Aldhani would do just that.

Mandalore/Nevarro from ‘The Mandalorian’

Although the two planets may not be the flashiest, you have to admit a Star Tours sequence featuring Mandalore or Nevarro from The Mandalorian would be epic. These sequences would give you ample opportunity to include Mando, Grogu, Greef Karga, and Bo-Katan. The possibilities would be endless. It’s also way overdue for Mando to be included in Star Tours. There is a lot you can do here.

Lothal from ‘Ahsoka’

Personally, this is one I would be thrilled to see. I am a huge fan of Star Wars: Rebels and Ahsoka, so seeing Lothal in Star Tours would be amazing. Including Lothal we could see various locations that were included in Rebels plus the opportunity to see characters like Ahsoka, Huyang, Sabine Wren, Hera Syndulla, Ryder Azadi, and even Ezra Bridger!

Even just a fly-through around the main city of Lothal and past Ezra’s Tower would be satisfying.

Peridea from ‘Ahsoka’

In the season finale of Ahsoka, it is revealed that what Baylan Skoll seeks may be the Mortis Gods. You may be reading this and asking what are the Mortis Gods? In nerdy terms — and to the best of my understanding — the Mortis Gods are essentially the Celestials of the Star Wars universe. They are above everyone else similar to how The Watcher is above everyone else in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Mortis Gods were featured in Star Wars: The Clone Wars and also appeared visually in Star Wars: Rebels in the Jedi Temple on Lothal.

Yet a Star Tours sequence on Peridea would have to include a stop by this Mortis Gods Mountain. I also could easily imagine C-3PO and R2-D2 ending up in another galaxy due to the Eye of Sion. This also could be an opportunity to use Purrgil in Star Tours as well. Come on it would be cool to have the StarSpeeder going through space with the Purrgil.

The Acolyte (Star Tours already time travels)

Star Tours is a terrific attraction in its own right but one of its best aspects is the fact you can travel across timelines.

You get a different flavor of Star Wars in different trips on Star Tours. That should 100% continue with The Acolyte which is set in the final days of the High Republic. A High Republic Star Tours sequence could potentially give us the Starlight Beacon and other locales and characters from both The Acolyte and High Republic.

Batuu Again

There is already a Batuu sequence for Star Tours but I have an idea for another Batuu scene. It may be a bit hard to pull off but what if we did a sequence that somehow intersects with Millennium Falcon: Smugglers Run? Hondo Ohnaka makes his Star Tours debut and we also “crossover” with Smugglers Run. Maybe the Star Tours scene could add a unique point of view or maybe even tease a future sequence for Smugglers Run.

Halcyon — RIP but maybe?

If you couldn’t already tell, we are towards the end of the article. This is where my pitches become a bit more out there.

Disney may have shut down the Star Wars: Galactic Starcruiser in 2023 but the lore still exists. The fanbase also exists as well. I think a Star Tours sequence that features the Halcyon would be quite awesome, even if it was just an easter egg for us in the know. Also, if the Galactic Stacruiser did well, I’m sure they would’ve done a sequence with the Halcyon at some point. I think it’s too easy of an opportunity not to do it. Plus the Halcyon fits in every era of Star Wars, so if Disney wanted to do a sequence set during the New Republic they could! They could even do a sequence during the events of Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge (in between Star Wars: The Last Jedi and Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker).

World Between Worlds

My final pitch is trippy.

Yet it would be the coolest sequence if Imagineering could pull it off.

Star Tours enters the World Between Worlds.

First seen in Star Wars: Rebels and then seen again in Ahsoka, World Between Worlds is a mystical plane within the Force that serves as a collection of doors and pathways existing between time and space, linking all moments in time together.

So for what it’s worth a World Between Worlds sequence within Star Tours could go anywhere. But my idea would be for the guests of Star Tours to see the visuals of the World Between Worlds whether it’s the black and white version from Rebels or the more water-like version in Ahsoka. But here is the twist, C-3PO and R2-D2 look through the pathways and see the original Star Tours that featured Captain Rex (R-3X) piloting the StarSpeeder.

Now you may be wondering but how would C-3PO and R2-D2 end up in the World Between Worlds? How is that possible? I am once again here to say that anything is possible on Star Tours and if it thrills the guests riding the attraction then it should happen. Lucasfilm and Walt Disney Imagineering could easily find a workaround for the plot but seeing World Between Worlds in an actual Disney attraction would be outstanding. I love the World Between Worlds concept so much that I think it could stand on its own as an attraction, but that’s another article for another time.

I hope you enjoyed my pitches for the new Star Tours sequences. This was fun to think about, and I sincerely hope that some of these characters and locales eventually make it onto the attraction. I eagerly await to see the new sequences in 2024.
