Universal Studios Japan today held a media event to announce more details for the upcoming Donkey Kong Country opening in Spring 2024 as part of Super Nintendo World.
This mini-land will encompass one ride, several meet and greets, and mini-games. There will also be brand new merchandise such as a version of the very popular headband that is available right now in the Mushroom Kingdom.

Brand new Donkey Kong-themed power-up bands will be coming to this land to add to your collection. You will be able to meet plenty of the Kongs including Diddy Kong and Donkey Kong.

The land’s only ride will be a roller coaster called Mine Cart Madness. This coaster will feature animatronics, water features, and a fake track. Yes, you read that right, Donkey Kong Mine Cart Madness will feature two tracks, one that is fake with the real one underneath. This will allow the cart to simulate jumping over breaks in the track which will be absolutely amazing to witness. Universal released a teaser of the coasterand the entire land’s lush landscape. The full version of Super Nintendo World will be an opening day attraction at theupcoming Epic Universe theme park in Orlando.
