Wonder Woman’s Patty Jenkins is set to direct the latest film in the Star Wars universe, Rogue Squadron. This makes Jenkins the first woman in the Star Wars universe to direct a feature film.
Rogue Squadron will follow star pilots across the galaxy far, far away, based on the Nintendo64 game of the same name. The squadron was founded by Wedge Antilles during the time of A New Hope, The Empire Strikes Back, and Return of the Jedi.

“When (my father) lost his life in service to this country, it ignited this desire in me turn all of that tragedy and thrill into one day making the greatest fighter pilot movie of all time,” Jenkins said in a video posted to her Twitter. “Now I found a movie about two things I love, so I’m going to see you very soon.”
The movie will be released in theaters in December 2023.
This is a developing story.
