Over D23 Expo weekend, Disney revealed that an Avengers Multiverse attraction is in development at Avengers Campus.
Disney released a poster for the attraction and it features a ton of heroes from Marvel Studios. Let’s list them here and get them out of the way before we move on to our dream list:
That’s 24 characters just on the poster. There will likely be more in the attraction itself.
Let’s also list the likely character additions to the attraction. Captain Marvel, Shang-Chi, Ant-Man, The Wasp, Hawkeye, Kate Bishop, Yelena Belova, and Wong. Those characters could all realistically be in this attraction. That’s why none of these names are going to be featured on my list below. I wanted to go with shocking and unexpected choices for this list.
But here are some of my dream choices for the Avengers Campus’ Multiverse attraction.
Deadpool

Ryan Reynolds’ reprising his role as Deadpool in a Disney Parks attraction would be magical. It’s something that many probably thought would never be done, and for that reason alone is why it should happen.
Patrick Stewart’s Professor X

Patrick Stewart as Professor X giving the whole safety spiel for this attraction would be gold.
The inclusion of Patrick Stewart’s Professor X would help out the multiverse aspect of the attraction, and it helps that his version of Professor X did appear in the MCU in Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness as part of Earth 838.
Howard the Duck

This would just be a pure comedy play. Only What If…? has been smart enough so far to include Howard the Duck in an MCU project. Howard the Duck has been featured in the Disney Parks before as he was briefly seen in Guardians of the Galaxy — Mission: Breakout!
The Watcher

Speaking of What If…?, who’s better to observe this chaos than Jeffrey Wright’s The Watcher? The poster for this attraction confirmed that animated characters from What If…? and Spider-Man: Freshman Year is fair game. So, why not throw in The Watcher and makes this high stakes?
Wolverine

This one is a bit tricky but maybe Disney decides not to miss its opportunity to get Hugh Jackman’s Wolverine in a Disney Parks attraction. Also, with this attraction fully going into the Multiverse, Disney could even have Wolverine from X-Men ’97 or an entirely new Wolverine show up.
Hank Pym and Janet van Dyne

I’m a huge fan of both Hank Pym and Janet van Dyne in the MCU. Although I don’t see how the characters could fit into this specific attraction unless we have them show up as an alternate, younger versions of their Ant-Man and the Wasp.
Elsa Bloodstone

Man-Thing and Werewolf by Night made the poster. Those two characters were already pitched to be in this attraction before Werewolf by Night dropped on Disney+ (that also makes you wonder how many surprises Marvel Studio and WDI may have in store). I’m thinking Elsa Bloodstone may get the nod as well when it comes time to create this attraction. It would only make sense.
Guardians of the Galaxy

The Guardians of the Galaxy are absent from the Avengers Multiverse poster.
Granted I get that they have their own attraction at Avengers Campus and even in EPCOT but it would be nice to see the Guardians along with this stacked lineup. Disney may not want to include the Guardians due to the fact they already have their own attractions and that Vol.3 coming May 2023 is the last Guardians of the Galaxy film.
Magneto

I’ve already had some X-Men included on this list but… let’s get crazy. Throw in Magneto as well. I don’t even care what version. We have no clue when Magneto may show up in the MCU but let’s have him in this Avengers attraction.
Blade (Mahershala Ali or Wesley Snipes)

This is where I lean into the Multiverse of Madness aspect.
You could have either Mahershala Ali or Wesley Snipes come back to do this attraction. I mean why not? You have the multiverse as the explanation. Characters like Moon Knight, Man-Thing, and Werewolf by Night lead me to believe that Blade will likely get the nod for this attraction. It’s clear Marvel Studios and Walt Disney Imagineering want every corner of the MCU represented in this Avengers Multiverse attraction including the supernatural.
Fantastic Four

By the time this attraction finally arrives we should have our cast for the Fantastic Four. It would be a crazy oversight to leave them out of this potentially massive attraction. Unless Disney wants to save the Fantastic Four in the parks for later. Maybe to build a Fantastic Four attraction as part of a possible Avengers Campus expansion?
Miss Minutes

I definitely think Miss Minutes making a cameo within the Avengers Multiverse attraction isn’t outside the realm of possibility. Especially if any aspect revolves around the TVA or just as a fun nod. Maybe even as the exit or safety spiel.
Tobey Maguire’s Spider-Man

Now let’s get crazier.
I would love to see Tobey Maguire’s Spider-Man in a theme park attraction. After No Way Home, I actually thought there was some hope for this within Avengers Campus. Although it seems like Web Slingers: A Spider-Man Adventure isn’t as friendly to constant synergy updates as the rest of the land.
Anyways, Tobey Maguire’s Spider-Man in a theme park attraction would be legendary.
Andrew Garfield’s Spider-Man

If I’m going to include Tobey then I have to include Andrew Garfield as well! This is with the assumption that Tom Holland will already be in this attraction. If so, it would be a remarkable feat for Disney to get the iconic Spider-Man trio together for a Disney Parks attraction. If you want to talk about longevity look at that concept right there. Three generations of Spider-Man is a timeless approach for sure.
Universal Studios Orlando’s ‘The Amazing Adventures of Spider-Man’s’ Spider-Man

I saved this one for the very end because it would never happen.
But just imagine if a fifth Spider-Man appeared during this Avengers Multiverse attraction, and just jumped down and pointed at us and said, “This could be the most dangerous night of my life, and yours!”
The most multiverse mind-bending choice is the one that isn’t legally available to Disney. Yet just imagine Universal Studios Orlando’s The Amazing Adventures of Spider-Man’s Spider-Man appearing within a Disney attraction. It would NEVER happen but just imagining it is a bit mind-bending in itself. It’s also a testament to how incredible Amazing Adventures of Spider-Man is at Universal Studios Orlando, and how it has remained an iconic, must-do attraction.
Conclusion

We are still a bit away from this Avengers Multiverse attraction becoming a reality. Yet, I thought it would be fun to share my dream list of characters for the attraction. I think Disney should try and get in as many characters as possible within this attraction. As I’ve said numerous times before on this site, an Avengers attraction is a draw.
Let’s just hope they are able to deliver on this ambitious concept that should be filled to the brim with characters. I also don’t think I can handle going through the possibility of an Avengers attraction getting scrapped again. So, let’s just hope this one actually moves forward.
