PEN15 and Scoob! star Maya Erskine is joining the loaded cast of the Obi-Wan Kenobi Disney+ series.
Erskine will have a supporting role in the series. She is joining Ewan McGregor (as Obi-Wan), Hayden Christensen (as Darth Vader), Joel Edgerton, Bonnie Piesse, Moses Ingram, Kumail Nanjiani, Indira Varma, Rupert Friend, O’Shea Jackson Jr., Sung Kang, Simone Kessell, and Benny Safdie.
There isn’t a ton of details out there on Obi-Wan Kenobi but we do know that the series will take place ten years after the events of Revenge of the Sith. Lucasfilm President Kathleen Kennedy has already teased that the series will feature the “rematch of the century” between Obi-Wan and Darth Vader.
Obi-Wan Kenobi is expected to begin production any day now. The series will be six one-hour episodes. The series will be directed by Deborah Chow (The Mandalorian) and it was written by Joby Harold.
Obi-Wan Kenobi is just one of many Star Wars series heading to Disney+.
