Earlier today it was announced that Hong Kong Disneyland would have to temporarily close on December 2. Due to rising cases of COVID-19. This means that half of the Disney Parks around the world are now closed due to COVID-19. Disneyland Resort has been closed since March and Disneyland Paris had to close again due to rising COVID-19 cases. Walt Disney World, Tokyo Disneyland, and Shanghai Disneyland are still operating.

Hong Kong Disneyland was originally closed from January 25 through June 18, and again from July 15 through September 25. The current closure period for Hong Kong Disneyland is unknown but it is expected to be two weeks. The closure comes right after the completion of Hong Kong Disneyland’s castle reimagining which saw the original castle become “The Castle of Magical Dreams.”
