The Honda Center shook when it was revealed that Ke Huy Quan was conducting “Raider’s March” for the Indiana Jones segment during the Horizons: Disney Experiences Showcase.
Despite the appearance by Ke Huy Quan, it wasn’t confirmed if the actor would be reprising his role as Short Round in the new Indiana Jones attraction at Animal Kingdom.
Here’s the thing though, losing DINOSAUR would be an easier pill to swallow if we knew Ke Huy Quan is involved. Ke Huy Quan has the perfect energy for a Disney attraction whether it’s a pre-show or someone who is speaking to us throughout the attraction. Also, after the performance of the last Indiana Jones film, it may not be a bad bet to lean a bit harder on the nostalgic parts of the franchise.
An older Short Round working with Indy on an exploration of a Maya temple may be too fun to pass up. We don’t need to overthink this with timelines and logic. Also, now that we know Harrison Ford is buddies with Bob Iger, can we get the guy to reprise his iconic role for this? I know they will be going for a younger Indiana Jones but still.

The new Indiana Jones attraction is a part of the new Tropical Americas land at the Animal Kingdom. Disney is promising that this new Indiana Jones attraction will be unlike anything else around the world.
The storyline we know of so far revolves around a Maya temple and Indy has heard rumors about a mythical creature deep within the temple. He brings us all along on the adventure with him.

I’m not as high on an Indiana Jones attraction as most people. The version in Disneyland is great but it was one of those things that I didn’t necessarily need in Walt Disney World. I was perfectly content with DINOSAUR. Sure, the rest of the land needed fixing but the attraction still is a blast. This new Indy attraction should be great and Walt Disney Imagineering delivers when it’s time to reinvent spaces and reimagine attractions. Although the pain of losing DINOSAUR would be a lot easier if we knew Ke Huy Quan was involved.
Tropical Americas featuring the Indiana Jones attraction will open in 2027 at Disney’s Animal Kingdom.
