‘Your Friendly Neighborhood Spider-Man’ Finale Reveals A Disney Parks Nod

The season one finale of ‘Your Friendly Neighborhood Spider-Man’ just introduced a company from the Marvel Theme Park Universe.

🚨Small spoiler alert for Your Friendly Neighborhood Spider-Man🚨

In the season one finale of Your Friendly Neighborhood Spider-Man, Harry Osborn decides it is time to start a company where Peter Parker and other geniuses can innovate without nefarious intentions behind them. Harry unveils Worldwide Engineering Brigade, also known as W.E.B., as his new company.

Some may think it’s just a playful nod to Spider-Man himself as a web-slinger but W.E.B. is a concept that was created for the Disney Parks and the Marvel Theme Park Universe. Worldwide Engineering Brigade (W.E.B.) acts as an overarching storyline device throughout multiple Spider-Man attractions and is featured on the Disney Cruise Line as well.

In the Marvel Theme Park Universe, W.E.B. is founded by Tony Stark and also has ties to Wakanda and Pym Tech. Members of W.E.B. in the Marvel Theme Park Universe include Harley Keener from the Iron Man franchise, Squirrel Girl, Moon Girl, Onome, and Peter Parker himself. The attraction at Avengers Campus has also hinted at Miles Morales, America Chavez, and countless others who areinvolved with the company. In the show, Harry Osborn is now trying to recruit some of the brightest minds to do good. The show could adapt more things from W.E.B. at the Disney Parks like the Spider-Bots if they wanted to.

W.E.B. will likely play a key part in season two of Your Friendly Neighborhood Spider-Man. W.E.B. is continuing to expand across the Disney Parks as well. A Spider-Man roller coaster coming to Shanghai Disneyland and a Spider-Man vs Doc Ock attraction coming to Hong Kong Disneyland. Both attractions are expected to feature the Worldwide Engineering Brigade (W.E.B.).

Both Your Friendly Neighborhood Spider-Man and the Marvel Theme Park Universe take place in MCU-adjacent timelines. Meaning they have elements of the MCU but their respective universes also come with some twists.
