What’s Coming to the Disney Parks in 2025?

What do the Disney Parks have in store for fans in 2025?

2025 at Disney Experiences wasn’t expected to be a major year. Yet it will have plenty of new experiences and developments.

There’s more happening in 2025 than meets the eye. Disney will launch two new Disney Cruise Line ships, new additions to all four Walt Disney World parks, Disneyland 70th Celebration, the first Storyliving by Disney community, and so much more.

Let’s take a look at everything coming from Disney Experiences in 2025.

Test Track 3.0

Test Track will return for its third iteration. This time General Motors will be the sponsor again. The new iteration is expected to pay homage to the previous World of Motion pavilion at EPCOT. The attraction is expected to reopen in the summer.

Walt Disney: A Magical Life

The first ever Walt Disney Audio-Animatronics figure will be on display at Disneyland. As part of the new show Walt Disney — A Magical Life, will have Walt speaking to the audience about his life from his office. The production will take place inside the Main Street Opera House and it will eventually play in rotation with Great Moments with Mr. Lincoln.

Walt Disney — A Magical Life debuts on May 16 at Disneyland.

The Little Mermaid — A Musical Adventure

The Little Mermaid — A Musical Adventure will open at Hollywood Studios this summer. The updated show will feature new effects and more songs as well. The project was originally slated to open last year but was delayed to this year.

Disney Starlight: Dream the Night Away

Disney Starlight: Dream the Night Away will debut this summer. The new nighttime parade will feature various Disney princesses and characters. The parade will have a few easter eggs and is partially inspired by Mary Blair’s initial concept art for Cinderella.

Disney Destiny

The Disney Destiny cruise ship will have a “Heroes vs Villains” theme and will have a heavy presence of Marvel heroes. The ship will feature a Tony Stark suite, a Doctor Strange bar, and the Worlds of Marvel restaurant. A Black Panther statue will also be in the main lobby and Spider-Man will be the stern character.

Disney Destiny sets sail in November.

Disney Adventure

The Disney Adventure is a historic ship for a couple of reasons. It’s Disney Cruise Line’s biggest ship. It will be sailing out of Singapore and catering to the Asian market. It’s also the only ship that Disney has acquired from a different company and retrofitted into one of their iconic cruise ships.

Disney Adventure sails in December.

Cotino

The first Storyliving by Disney community, Cotino, is expected to open this year. It will be fascinating to see how it all plays out and if this is a business that Disney will continue to invest in. Everyone is eager to see how the Walt Disney Imagineering master planned community turned out.

Bluey

Bluey will join Disneyland Resort in California and Walt Disney World Resort in Florida on land and Disney Cruise Line at sea.

I’m expecting us to get news on Bluey in the parks and on the cruise line this year.

Disneyland 70th Celebration

Disneyland Resort will be celebrating its 70th anniversary in 2025. Beginning May 16, 2025, and running through summer 2026. The celebration will feature:

More about Disneyland 70 will be announced soon.

Pirates of the Caribbean Tavern

Pirates of the Caribbean Tavern at the Magic Kingdom is expected to open in late 2025. This spot has massive potential as it will expand the story of Pirates of the Caribbean and will likely have some tasty offerings.

Disney Villains: Unfairly Ever After

An all-new show starring your favorite Disney Villains at Disney’s Hollywood Studios. The show will premiere this summer and it’s expected to act as a “play test” for the upcoming Villains Land that is coming to the Magic Kingdom. Magic Mirror has summoned all the Disney Villains to one spot in this show and select villains will break out into performances.

Spaceship Earth Lounge

Spaceship Earth Lounge will come sometime in 2025. This is a rare project that was never rumored so the expectations are basically non-existent. Disney has an opportunity to add another cool spot to EPCOT.

Destination D23

Destination D23 will be a major event for Disney and it will likely give us plenty of news regarding the future of the Disney Parks. I fully expect another keynote address from Disney Experiences Chairman Josh D’Amaro.

it’s a small world with Groot

it’s a small world with Groot has already opened at Tokyo Disneyland. The temporary overlay is overloaded with cuteness. Marvel going full Mary Blair could make for some intriguing merch opportunities for Disney Consumer Products.

World Premiere

The World Premiere building at the Walt Disney Studios Park at Disneyland Paris Resort will open in the spring. The building will be refurbished and will have nods to Disney’s history.

Zootopia: Better Zoogether

Zootopia: Better Zoogether will open at Animal Kingdom in late 2025. Ginnifer Goodwin is returning to voice Judy Hopps and other Zootopia cast members are expected to be in this new show at the Tree of Life theater.

Muppet*Vision 3D Farewell

Muppet*Vision 3D is officially on its farewell tour. The attraction will permanently shutter in June to make way for Monstropolis, a Monsters Inc. mini-land, at Disney’s Hollywood Studios.

Disney hasn’t revealed if they will do anything special for Muppet*Vision 3D’s final farewell. I’m expecting an event or at least some merch.

Rock ’N’ Roller Coaster Farewell

Disney has still not confirmed the timetable of when Rock ’N’ Roller Coaster will close to make way for the new Muppets Rock ’N’ Roller Coaster. Still, a farewell for this attraction and its Aerosmith roots is expected this year.

Rivers of America Farewell

A seismic change to Magic Kingdom is expected to take place this year. Both Tom Sawyer Island and the Rivers of America are expected to be replaced as Disney starts construction on a Cars-themed expansion of Frontierland. However, there are no details on when the construction will take place as Disney still needs certain approvals from the State of Florida and a project removing a significant body of water could cause multiple concerns.

Hong Kong Disneyland’s 20th Anniversary Celebration

Hong Kong Disneyland will host a year-long celebration for its 20th anniversary. “The Most Magical Party of All” kicks off this summer and will feature a new stage show with Mickey and Friends, Duffy and Friends, and Disney princesses, a brand new parade, and an anniversary version of Momentous, a nighttime spectacular.
