What Would The Ultimate Disney Multiverse Park Look Like?

Our Icon: SpaceStation Earth featuring Time Racers

Enter the bizarre multiverse were never built attractions and potentially never thought of ideas actually exist.

Welcome to the ultimate Disney Multiverse Park.

SpaceStation Earth was going to be similar to Spaceship Earth’s design but much larger. I picked this never built geosphere icon for this multiverse park because I think it would be stunning in real life.

I’m also going a step further and adding to the concept. The attraction inside SpaceStation Earth would be the abandoned Spaceship Earth replacement of Time Racers. Although not much is known about Time Racers, it’s believed to be a fast steel roller coaster that would have guests race through different time periods. In our version of Time Racers, we would go with the Cosmic Rewind Omnicoaster system and utilize projections for different periods of history in a fast yet even more fascinating roller coaster concept.

Our First Land: Tomorrowland 2055

With our multiverse park, we need a Tomorrowland. One never built concept I really love is Tomorrowland 2055. The story behind this concept was in the late 90s, Imagineering wanted to reimagine Disneyland’s out-of-date Tomorrowland. Tomorrowland 2055 had a timeless retro-futuristic approach, with Art Deco and Cyberpunk influences. The land was slated to include Alien Encounter, PeopleMover, Plektu’s Fantastic Intergalactic Revue, and more fun details.

Friend of Boardwalk Times, Rob Yeo did an incredible job taking these concepts and creating them in 3D. You can view all of his work on Tomorrowland 2055 here:

Our Second Land: Hollywood Boulevard featuring Muppet Studios

Our second land within this park would almost be a condensed version of Disney’s Hollywood Studios. The Hollywood Boulevard land would feature the glitz and glam of Hollywood Studios but most importantly it would include a Muppet Studios section.

Within the Muppet Studios section, it would include A Muppet Dark Ride with an original story. I would want something zany, silly, and with that Jim Henson classic touch. I think The Muppets could lend themselves to audio-animatronics in a very unique way. Also, instead of doing The Great Muppet Movie Ride, I think an original Muppet dark ride could potentially be more fascinating and even more meta.

Also included in this area would be Muppet Vision 3D. It’s a constant throughout the multiverse.

Hollywood Boulevard would also feature a couple of other filler Hollywood attractions and props. But there are two more attractions I want to include.

One would be Oswald’s Runaway Railway, which yes would be a play on Mickey and Minnie’s Runaway Railway. My thought process on this attraction is it would be a similar plot but themed in black and white before bursting into a colorful world.

The final attraction in our Hollywood Boulevard is a real rocking multiverse choice. The attraction would be Rock ‘n Roller Coaster with No Doubt. This never built concept was developed for Disney California Adventure and would’ve featured the music from the Anaheim-based rock band. In this universe, it happens.

Our Third Land: Frontierland featuring Western River Expedition

Our Frontierland at this park would be a bit smaller but it would feature the never-built Western River Expedition boat ride along with an updated and expanded Big Thunder Mountain Railroad. This park’s version of Big Thunder Mountain Railroad would feature swinging mine carts similar to Seven Dwarf’s Mine Train and additional drops and story sequences.

Hey and let’s include a Westward Ho McDonald’s in this Frontierland as well.

Our Fourth Land: Beastly Kingdom

Our fourth land would be the concept of Beastly Kingdom but with some twists…

DRAGON would be a play on DINOSAUR. Instead of heading into the Dino Institute, guests would embark on a more fantasy-based mission to go back in time and capture a rare dragon.

Unicorn Sea would be a Fantasia-inspired boat ride.

When the Beastly Kingdom project got canned at Disney. Imagineers brought the concept of Dragon Challenge/Dueling Dragons to Universal’s Islands of Adventure. In this universe, this attraction exists but with a bizarre twist. Let’s call this a theme park incursion. It uses the same ride system as Hagrid’s and it’s not dueling but you see dragons and other mythical creatures throughout the attraction. It’s a mixture of two concepts.

Our Fifth Land: Adventure Axis

Welcome to our final and probably craziest multiverse land yet. This is Adventure Axis. Let me ease you into it. The land would be themed like a typical Adventureland but it would also feature more mysterious elements when necessary. This isn’t your typical Adventureland hence the name Adventure Axis.

The first two attractions would be dark rides. One is based on The Lion King and the other is based on Aladdin. Two concepts I’m shocked that haven’t been done. The Lion King attraction would be a retelling of the film but done in that classic dark ride style. The Aladdin attraction would also be a retelling but with more motion as guests would travel on flying carpets throughout the attraction.

Now let’s get even crazier. Adventure Axis needs to feature tropical birds right? In this theme park instead of the classic Enchanted Tiki Room attraction, we would get a roller coaster version. It would feature all the birds and even larger more intimidating birds to add that extra thrill.

The world-famous Jungle Cruise in this multiverse is themed to Avatar. Instead of seeing regular animals, guests would experience different creatures from the bioluminescent world of Pandora like banshees, tulkuns, viperwolfs, and more.

And for our grand finale. You can’t have a multiverse theme park without this guy in my opinion. So our final attraction is going to be called…

Doctor Strange in the Museum of Weird

If you’re a Disney Parks history nerd, those last three words probably just blew your mind. The Museum of Weird was a Rolly Crump concept and is often cited as the predecessor/companion piece to the Haunted Mansion. It is believed that most of the concepts inside the Museum of Weird kept Walt Disney up at night.

That’s why I think there is no better time to revisit this concept than with Doctor Strange himself. Just imagine how trippy and adventurous this attraction would be with Doctor Strange leading us through this Museum of Weird in a Haunted Mansion/Mystic Manor style attraction. I think it’s a good idea and sets an example of how to bring a never built concept to life but with a greater purpose. Plus I just think the title of Doctor Strange in the Museum of Weird sounds rad.

Guys, it’s the Multiverse it’s not going to make perfect sense. But isn’t that just part of the fun? What concepts would you like me to expand upon for future articles? Tweet at me @TripleZ_87.
