Walt Disney: One Man’s Dream is Ending
This isn’t much of a shocker and it has been rumored for a long time. Walt Disney’s One Man’s Dream will be replaced.
In the latest article by The Mickey Wiki he wrote about five more Walt Disney World attractions that had improbably long runs. Walt Disney: One Man’s Dream was one of them. The museum and film style attraction dedicated to the life of Walt Disney was considered a temporary attraction. The attraction later in its run began switching out films. It started showcasing the latest film trailers in the world of Disney, Pixar, and Marvel.
One Man’s Dream is now being re-imagined into Walt Disney Presents. Which ironically was the name of Walt Disney’s TV show from 1958–1961. Before it was changed to Walt Disney’s Wonderful World of Color. Although the attraction is being re-imagined it will still feature historical items from Walt Disney’s life. Walt Disney Presents will act as a preview center for the future of Disney Parks. Starting in mid-September guests will be able to view concept art and a unseen model of Toy Story Land. A Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge model will also be on display. As well as the new concept art for Mickey and Minnie’s Runaway Railway.
The attraction will also continue its meet and greets and previews for future Disney films. It does suck that the actual Walt Disney: One Man’s Dream film is going away. At least the museum exhibit will stay mostly intact. Maybe will see another attraction dedicated to Walt Disney in the near future. At least they are calling the attraction Walt Disney Presents. I don’t know if they are naming it after the old TV show on purpose but either way it’s a great name.
Walt Disney Presents doesn’t have a official opening date. Expect it to be open in mid-September.
