Today we are going to check up on the CityWalk Starbucks, Fast and Furious Coaster, Halloween Horror Nights houses, and the new candy store!
CityWalk Starbucks

The Starbucks in CityWalk is under heavy construction and has tons of scaffolding currently. I am very curious to see what the new façade will look like here. I am hoping this can be completed by Grinchmas.
New Candy Store

It looks like a new candy store will be coming to Production Plaza. The new façade and paint scheme look fantastic. This should be open by Halloween Horror Nights. I assume especially because this is the spot where the fire towers and a scare zone usually go.
Halloween Horror Nights
The façade of The Last of Us is looking like it’s going to be the Pittsburgh Containment Center from the game. More small details are being added to the preshow area and I am excited to see what the final product looks like.
Fast and Furious Coaster

With both stages almost fully demoed, the next stage of demolition has begun. Trees along the Studio Tour path have been tagged with White X’s in prep for removal. The Universal Timeline posters have been removed and are being staged in the backlot. I am not sure if the posters will return to the same spot but I am more than sure that they will be preserved on property. On the Upper Lot, work continues on the demo of the basement of the Special Effects Stage, and then that building will be officially gone.
