Triotech Reveals “Carnival Chaos Hyper Ride” for Niagara Falls

We got to experience elements of the “Carnival Chaos Hyper Ride” at IAAPA Expo.

On November 17, Triotech (the company behind attractions such as Knott’s Bear-y Tales — Return to the Fair and Ninjago the Ride) and Clifton Hill announced a major new attraction to be installed in Niagara Falls, Canada.

The attraction is set to open next summer, and is called “Carnival Chaos Hyper Ride.” The experience showcases Triotech’s Hyper Ride, an award-winning innovative interactive media-based dark ride that features the world’s first in motion technology.

Hyper Ride is a first-of-its-kind media-based attraction that delivers an action-packed experience in a small footprint. This makes the attraction accessible to local amusement parks, Family Entertainment Centers, shopping malls, and other locations that usually cannot afford expensive dark ride attractions found in larger theme parks.

The Hyper Ride was recognized by IAAPA receiving the Brass Ring Award for Best New Product in the Rides & Attractions category.

“Carnival Chaos Hyper Ride” will feature 7 fully interactive scenes, 5 carts, as well as programable digital theming inside the attraction which will occupy approximately 6,000 square feet. The building exterior will be fully themed.

I actually got to experience both elements of the “Carnival Chaos Hyper Ride.” The Hyper Ride system is action-packed with its movement and it goes faster than you would expect. I think if space (at IAAPA Expo) would’ve allowed it would’ve been incredible to ride The Hyper Ride system while experiencing the interactive scenes.

The screen and interactive elements of “Carnival Chaos Hyper Ride” are impressive. The transitions seem on caliber with other amusement park attractions found around the world. Although I wouldn’t recommend the attraction if you’re afraid of clowns. But then again scary clowns are fun to aim at!

Triotech’s work showcases well-done, ultra-creative attractions that have a small footprint. These attractions could easily fit in malls or entertainment centers that need that extra boost but can’t afford to build themselves a large-scale attraction. I would love to see versions of these projects pop up all around the world. I think “Carnival Chaos Hyper Ride” would even fit as a seasonal attraction at apple orchards or haunted farms during the Halloween season as a way to break the mold.

I think this attraction could provide immersive and interactive entertainment for locals, who may not be able to travel to theme parks as frequently. I’m excited to see what Triotech develops next, and I can’t wait to get on The Hyper Ride system again.
