Disney’s Hollywood Studios newest land takes us to Andy’s backyard. A unique destination that wasn’t on many theme park goers list of “themed land must do’s.” This new land will be receiving “seasonal enhancements” for the Holiday season. The overlay will be starting in the Winter.
Alien Swirling Saucers will feature a new soundtrack. Although this holiday overlay is not anything extraordinary, it is always intriguing to see how Disney’s Hollywood Studios will evolve around the holiday season. Especially since Osborne Spectacle of Dancing Lights shuttered in order to create Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge.
Nighttime spectaculars which include Jingle Bell, Jingle BAM! and the laser projection show on the Tower of Terror. These should provide guests with some jolly spirit for the holidays. Even if they don’t capture the thrills like the lights.
Is Disney making the right play with doing a holiday overlay this early into Toy Story Land? Many are surprised that the land isn’t receiving a Halloween overlay. It should be interesting to see how Toy Story Land is received during the holiday season.
The loss of valuable attractions and holiday entertainment is hitting Disney’s Hollywood Studios hard. It will be fascinating to watch the park navigate through another holiday season without its normal cornerstones.
