Tim Allen To Star In ‘The Santa Clause’ Limited Series For Disney+

Tim Allen returns as Scott Calvin for a new Disney+ limited series.

Tim Allen will star in and executive-produce a new The Santa Clause limited series. Jack Burditt (Last Man Standing) will serve as executive produce and showrunner.

The Santa Clause limited series, produced by 20th Television will see Scott Calvin (Allen) on the brink of his 65th birthday and realizing that he can’t be Santa forever. He’s starting to lose a step in his Santa duties, and more importantly, he’s got a family who could benefit from a life in the normal world, especially his two kids who have grown up at the Pole. With a lot of elves, children, and family to please, Scott sets out to find a suitable replacement Santa while preparing his family for a new adventure in a life south of the pole.

This is another Disney IP being mined for Disney+. Home Alone actually got a new film just this last year. But it will be interesting to see how this new The Santa Clause series does.

Tim Allen is no stranger to the world of Disney. He is the voice of Buzz Lightyear in the Toy Story franchise. Allen also starred in the three previous The Santa Clause films as well as Jungle 2 Jungle and The Shaggy Dog. Allen also just got done with a nine-season run on his comedy series Last Man Standing.

Production on the series is set to begin in March.
