‘Tiana’s Bayou Adventure’ Will Open This Summer At Walt Disney World

Disney has revealed that ‘Tiana’s Bayou Adventure’ will open this summer at Walt Disney World.

Walt Disney Imagineering is bringing Princess Tiana into the Disney Parks in a big way. Tiana’s Bayou Adventure will take place after the events of the film. The attraction’s storyline will include Mardi Gras, Mama Odie’s magic, music, and a whole lot of celebrating.

Similar to its predecessor Splash Mountain, Tiana’s Bayou Adventure will have musical creatures. The bayou will have critters playing instruments. Tiana’s new friends include an otter, a rabbit, a raccoon, a beaver, a turtle, and more. The music will also be authentic to New Orleans. The attraction will feature a mix of original music from PJ Morton and Terence Blanchard alongside some of the hits from the film.

Tiana’s Bayou Adventure brings back original talent from The Princess and the Frog. Including Anika Noni Rose as Princess Tiana, Bruno Campos as Prince Naveen, Jenifer Lewis as Mama Odie, and Michael Leon Wooley as Louis.

The attraction will also boast dozens of entirely new Audio-Animatronic figures such as Princess Tiana, Louis, and Mama Odie, along with Eudora, Charlotte, Prince Ralphie, Prince Naveen, and others.

Tiana’s Bayou Adventure will feature artwork from various artists from New Orleans and Louisiana at large. Louisiana artist Malaika Favorite did some artwork for the queue. Third-generation master blacksmith, Darryl Reeves and his apprentice, Karina Roca did an original metalwork weathervane. New Orleans artist Sharika Mahdi’s artwork has inspired the attraction from the beginning. The other New Orleans touch is that the attraction will have the scent of beignets frying.

Tiana’s Bayou Adventure will open this summer at Walt Disney World. Here are some potential opening dates.

Regardless of its opening date, I’m expecting Disney to run previews for this attraction. If they didn’t I would be shocked.

Tiana’s Bayou Adventure opens at Walt Disney World Resort in Florida in summer 2024 and later in 2024 at Disneyland Park in California.
