The replacement for Universal Studios Florida’s dearly departed Beverly Hills Boulangerie has been announced.
On the Feb. 26 edition of NBC’s The Today Show, the rumors of a café based on the long-running morning news and variety show were confirmed. The Today Café joins a growing list of synergistic additions, along with Race through New York with Jimmy Fallon and NBC Sports Grill & Brew, to the Universal Orlando Resort as Comcast looks to increase the presence of the storied and iconic peacock network at its movie studio theme parks.
According to The Today Show’s own release, the show’s anchors, such as Hoda Kotb, Al Roker, Carson Daly and more, provided input on the décor and menu of The Today Café. The café will also be serving dishes featured on the show’s popular Today Food segments, including recipes from Al Roker himself.
The same deli sandwiches and bakery items served at Beverly Hills Boulangerie and sister café San Francisco Bakery look to remain on the menu joining the aforementioned Today Food dishes as well as “trendy items” like avocado toast and acai bowls. A variety of beers and wines will also be served, inspired by Kathie Lee Gifford and Hoda Kotb’s segments.
