Today during Lucasfilm’s Studio Showcase, we got new information regarding Star Wars: Skeleton Crew. One of the biggest confirmations to come from the showcase was the directing lineup for Skeleton Crew. The lineup includes Jon Watts (Skeleton Crew creator, No Way Home), David Lowery (Peter Pan & Wendy), The Daniels (Everything Everywhere All At Once), Jake Schreier (Thunderbolts), Bryce Dallas Howard (The Mandalorian), and Lee Isaac Chung (Minari).

The Star Wars series will have heavy Amblin vibes as it's about a group of kids who go on an adventure and the galaxy is super large and dangerous. Watts pitched the concept to Jon Favreau on the set of Spider-Man: Far From Home.

It was also revealed during Skeleton Crew’s section of the presentation that Jude Law’s character will be a Jedi, and that Vane (the pirate from The Mandalorian season three) appeared in the teaser.

The directors of Skeleton Crew should all bring a unique point of view with them. Watts directed an incredible trilogy of Spider-Man films, David Lowery has done outstanding work, The Daniels are on fire after the success of Everything Everywhere All At Once, Jake Schreier is directing Marvel Studios’ upcoming Thunderbolts so MCU fans will be watching his episode closely, Lee Isaac Chung is an acclaimed filmmaker, and Bryce Dallas Howard is one of the Star Wars directing GOATs since she’s started on The Mandalorian.

The series stars Jude Law, Ravi Cabot-Conyers, Kyriana Kratter, and Robert Timothy Smith.

Skeleton Crew will premiere on Disney+ in 2023.
