The 2025 Disney+ Preview

2025 Disney+ highlights include six new series from Marvel Television and Marvel Animation, the return of fan favorites like Andor and Percy Jackson, and the premiere of Pixar’s first-ever original series, Win or Lose.

It’s time to give a preview of Disney+ in 2025. Despite fewer overall projects, Disney+ remains a strategic priority for The Walt Disney Company. Let’s take a look at the latest and greatest Disney+ series coming from Marvel Television, Lucasfilm, Disney Branded Television, and for the first time ever… Pixar.

Goosebumps: The Vanishing (Disney+/Hulu) — January 10

Goosebumps: The Vanishing is the second season in the now Goosebumps anthology. The new season follows fraternal twins Devin and Cece adjusting to life with their recently divorced dad, Anthony (David Schwimmer). When the duo discovers a threat stirring, they quickly realize that dark secrets are among them, triggering a chain of events that unravel a profound mystery. As they delve into the unknown, Devin, Cece, and their friends — Alex, CJ, and Frankie — find themselves entangled in the chilling tale of four teenagers who mysteriously vanished in 1994.

Your Friendly Neighborhood Spider-Man (Disney+) — January 29

Your Friendly Neighborhood Spider-Man follows Peter Parker on his way to becoming a hero, with a journey unlike we’ve ever seen and a style that celebrates the character’s early comic book roots.

The cast includes Hudson Thames, Colman Domingo, Eugene Byrd, Grace Song, Zeno Robinson, Hugh Dancy and Charlie Cox.

The footage I saw of this show at D23 2024 was pretty spectacular and I’m quite pumped to check this show out.

Boardwalk Times Multiverse of Marvel will be covering Your Friendly Neighborhood Spider-Man.

The Lion King at The Hollywood Bowl — February 7

Disney’s The Lion King at the Hollywood Bowl, fans will experience life in the Pride Lands as a full orchestra performs Hans Zimmer’s rousing Oscar-winning musical score led by conductor Sarah Hicks. Win or Lose (Disney+) — February 19

Pixar’s first-ever long-form series will finally debut in 2025 (we are serious this time). I’m looking forward to this one.

Win or Lose will follow the Pickles, a co-ed middle school softball team, in the week leading up to their championship game. Each episode takes place that same week, highlighting the perspective of a different main character — the insecure kids, their helicopter parents, even a lovesick umpire — with incredibly funny, very emotional and uniquely animated perspectives. Will Forte is the voice of the coach. Win or Lose is directed, written and executive produced by Carrie Hobson and Michael Yates, and produced David Lally.

Andor season two promises to show Cassian’s journey from soldier to leader to hero. Season two will see relationships intensify as the galactic war draws near. The final lines in the Andor season two synopsis should give you chills if you’re a fan of the show.
