Solo

DISCLAIMER: This article contains spoilers to the newest Star Wars film Solo: A Star Wars Story.

What planets and locales could make for fun Star Tours sequences? Let’s take a look at all the great material that was provided in Solo: A Star Wars Story. Also yes, Solo takes place ten years before A New Hope. Having Chewbacca and the Millennium Falcon show up in different eras is a bad look. Star Tours is already a timeline mess. Let’s mess it up even more. Also the Millennium Falcon attraction at Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge takes place in the future so concepts from Solo are highly unlikely. Here is some leaked test footage from that attraction before we get started.

Corellia

Han and Qi’ra’s home planet would make for a thrilling sequence. Escaping the many criminal gangs on the shipbuilding planet. The sequence writes itself. This scene wouldn’t even need to involve the Falcon. Some fun vehicles and a gloomy sky would work. Maybe a cameo from Lady Proxima?

Imperial Flight Academy

StarSpeeder 1000 takes a wrong turn into the designated zone of the Imperial Flight Academy. Tie Fighters are seen practicing. The ship is contacted by a Imperial worker asking why Star Tours is here. The trainees in the Tie Fighters try to shoot down the StarSpeeder 1000. R2-D2 at the command of a hollering C-3PO kicks it into hyperspace. End scene.

Kessel Run

It would be hard to recreate the iconic Kessel Run in Star Tours. Still it would be really epic to experience. Maybe this could be the first ever Star Tours sequence where everything goes to black and the ship has crashed on a different planet. Remember C-3PO isn’t as good of a pilot as Han Solo. How fast could C-3PO make it through the Kessel Run? Would he round it down?

Savareen

Savareen is a outer rim planet and is one of the planet’s at a spur during the Kessel Run. It has sandy landmasses and huge oceans. The visuals on a Star Tours flight would be stunning. Maybe a interaction with the Cloud Riders?

Dathomir

In the final moments of Solo. Qi’ra takes over for the fallen Dryden Vos. She contacts his superior the former Sith lord Darth Maul. Revealing him to be the leader of the crime syndicate Crimson Dawn. Maul summons Qi’ra to the planet of Dathomir. The dark side of the force has a extreme presence in Dathomir. The planet also features forests and swamplands. Star Tours taking a trip to this eerie planet would be incredible.

Disney Parks and Walt Disney Imagineering haven’t announced any plans for a new Star Tours sequence. The Last Jedi received a sequence but Rogue One didn’t. Maybe that is a sign that only the true original trilogy and sequel trilogy will get scenes in Star Tours. Well we can always dream.
