Marvel announced that Shira Haas (Unorthodox, Shtisel) will play Sabra, an Israeli superhero in Captain America: New World Order. The news comes after the announcement that Tim Blake Nelson is set to return to the Marvel Cinematic Universe after 14 years as Samuel Sterns in the same film.
No additional details have been released about Haas’ role as Sabra, also known as Ruth Bat-Seraph. In the comics, Sabra is a mutant with abilities ranging from super strength, speed, stamina and regenerative healing.
In addition, Carl Lumbly will reprise his role as Isaiah Bradley and Danny Ramirez will be back as the new Falcon.
