Disney’s Caribbean Beach Resort is currently going through refurbishment in preparation for its expansion with the Disney Vacation Club Riviera Resort. Disney is reimagining Shutters at Old Port Royale as Sebastian’s Bistro. It will be a water-front table service restaurant.

The exterior has the sign above. With a very nautical theme. The interior continues the nautical theme and has some clear touches to The Little Mermaid. Throughout the restaurant there will be abstract art of Sebastian and other characters. The inside actually reminds me similar to Triton’s which is on the Disney Cruise Line which has a underlying The Little Mermaid theme.

In addition to the creation of Sebastian’s Bistro. Disney’s Caribbean Beach Resort is creating new experiences in their dining areas to prep for the Riviera Resort and the influx of new Disney Vacation Club members being on property.

The Centertown Market, which is a convenient quick-service dining option. It will keep its indoor street theme. Guests will now go through a new structure with colorful glass bottles to enter the market. Also that’s where the check out is according to the concept art.

The market features store-like facades, a roof and lighting that resembles the outdoors, and island related food options. There is also plenty of seating at the Centertown Market.
From experience, although it was a different name this was actually one of Disney’s best quick service spots. Breakfast had some phenomenal and unique choices. Lunch and Dinner both featured a variety of options.
The new renovations should improve the resort as it preps for the Riviera Resort and a increasing presence of the Disney Vacation Club.
