Disney is seeking an exec to oversee some of its latest AI efforts.
The new role is from the Disney Corporate and Enterprise Technology division, and the official title would be Vice President, Collaboration Technology & AI. The role would see the VP shape the strategic direction of Disney’s AI efforts and collaborate with leaders across the company while ensuring Disney remains a world-class storyteller and entertainment company.
Disney says this role will help Disney’s competitive advantage by “enhancing experiences, growing the business, and boosting operational excellence.”
The responsibilities in this role also include overseeing Microsoft Copilot, the DisneyGPT platform (Disney’s internal AI tool), and steering initiatives like the Global Hosting Transformation & eTech’s AI program.
The Vice President, Collaboration Technology and AI role also includes leading the strategy and delivery of AI tools for knowledge workers and workgroups, advancing the technology and building a roadmap to guide employees to the right AI tools, partnering closely with AI & Innovation teams across The Walt Disney Company to ensure the AI toolsets are aligned with larger strategies, and driving a training and advocacy program to help accelerate general purpose AI skillsets across the company.
Disney has been expanding its AI efforts across all of its divisions. Last month, Boardwalk Times reported that Walt Disney Imagineering was expanding its AI research efforts.
As more details emerge about The Walt Disney Company’s AI efforts, we will report them here at Boardwalk Times.
