Possible “Rogue One” Star Tours Sequences

Mustafar (Home of Darth Vader’s Castle)

Rogue One was powerful at the box office. Also with rumors looming that Disney is developing some new Star Tours sequences. It’s the perfect time to discuss some Rogue One sequences.

An article was published during D23’s Destination D event. It was deleted soon after. The article was puzzling as it described new additions to Star Tours- The Adventures Continue. The deleted article described new beginning, middle, and end sequences. While mentioning new Rogue One inspired sequences. Now it’s my turn to examine and analyze this rumor. What possible locations could pop up in Star Tours?

Rogue One had plenty of stunning visuals. So let’s take a look at the possible planets that could appear.

Yes, the infamous planet where Darth Vader was born (not literally but spiritually). This would be a scary yet thrilling sequence for Star Tours. A lava based planet could add in new special effects such as heat. C-3PO takes a wrong turn to the planet of Mustafar. A possible encounter with Vader himself would be awesome. Although the beginning sequence of the attraction already has that as an option.

Scarif

Star Tours already has it’s timeline problems so why not add more timeline problems? Am I right? While watching the finale in Rogue One, I was imagining the possiblity to relive the “Battle of Scarif” on Star Tours. Scarif, the unknown base is now pretty well known. Who wouldn’t want to relive the first major battle in the Galactic Civil War. The feeling of passing by X-Wings and breaking through security would be epic. The visual would be worth it.

Yavin-4

Passing through the original Rebel Alliance base would be fun. This scene wouldn’t necessarily have to be an action scene. It could fill the role as a small, short transition scene into hyper-speed.

Jedha

Opportunities to encounter Saw Gerrera, Chirrut Îmwe, and Baze Malbus. Traveling through the holy city of Jedha. Passing through the dangerous markets monitored by stormtroopers. Maybe going to the other side of the planet and seeing Saw Gerrera’s base. Another possibility to relive a scene from Rogue One. The escape from Jedha when it’s hit by the prototype Death Star. A panicking C-3PO sending you into hyperspace despite the anti-gravity pull.

Rogue One offered an abundance of inspiration for future Star Tours sequences. Not to mention The Force Awakens introduced different locales that haven’t been utilized in Star Tours yet.

Star Tours is truly a great attraction. There is nothing out there like it. From the different ride each time to the attraction itself. Disney has amazing opportunities with the Star Wars franchise. We haven’t seen all the possibilities. The addition of Rogue One sequences will satisfy guests until Star Wars Land.

Walt Disney Imagineering has endless possibilities. There are millions of Star Wars planets. As a loving fan of Disney Parks, I can’t wait to see the Star Wars attractions that come to the parks in the next couple of years. Also pay attention to the details in the new Star Wars movies. Some details may just appear in the parks someday.

Especially with The Last Jedi coming out in December. This would be the perfect time for a larger overhaul of Star Tours.

Would you like to travel to these Rogue One locales? Let me know down in the comments.
