Disney is finding a way to do its traditional holiday special on Christmas morning. This year the Disney Parks Magical Christmas Celebration will be reimagined due to COVID-19. The special will emanate from Walt Disney World Resort.
Still, it looks like Disney is putting on a show full of inspirational stories, musical performances, and sneak peeks of various Disney projects. Disney Parks Blog revealed the list of musical performances:
On top of the musical performances, the special will reveal a look at Remy’s Ratatouille Adventure, coming in 2021 to EPCOT. A new look at WandaVision, a Disney+ original series streaming on January 15. Another special look will showcase Disney and Pixar’s feature film Soul which will be available on Disney+on Christmas Day (December 25).
So, technically you’d be able to watch Disney Parks Magical Christmas Celebration on ABC and then hop over to Disney+ to watch Disney-Pixar’s Soul.
I think this year’s special has potential and it’s sad they can’t do more sneak peeks for the future of the Disney Parks but it is understandable due to the state of the world.
