Walt Disney Studios hosted a presentation at CinemaCon where they showed sneak peeks at upcoming projects. Despite Disney focusing on its 2024 slate, Marvel Studios previewed some footage from Captain America: Brave New World. Feige wanted to get theater owners excited about a Marvel Studios film that would harken back to Captain America: The Winter Soldier and will be more of a “grounded action thriller.”

The film follows the events of The Falcon and the Winter Soldier, where Sam Wilson has now embraced the mantle of Captain America. Brave New World also introduces Harrison Ford as President Thunderbolt Ross. Ford is replacing William Hurt who previously portrayed Thunderbolt Ross.

The clip from CinemaCon shows Sam Wilson meeting with President Thunderbolt Ross at the White House. President Ross asks Wilson to rebuild The Avengers. The footage then cuts to President Ross thanking Wilson’s Cap and Joaquin Torres’ Falcon for helping with a mission. During the meeting loud music blares which activates former super soldier Isiah Bradley, who attempts to assassinate President Ross. Sam Wilson struggles to control Isiah Bradley. The footage then showcased different action scenes from throughout the film including a scene where Sam Wilson is getting attacked at the White House by Secret Service agents. The final scene of the clip is a confrontation between President Thunderbolt Ross and Sam Wilson in the Oval Office. Ross tells him, “You’re not Steve Rogers.” Wilson then replies, “You’re right, I’m not.” The new footage also showed off Cap’s new suit as well.

Captain America: Brave New World stars Anthony Mackie, Harrison Ford, Danny Ramirez, Liv Tyler, Tim Blake Nelson, Carl Lumbly, and Shira Haas.

Captain America: Brave New World comes out on February 14, 2025.
