In an exclusive report from Variety, it was confirmed that Kathryn Hahn will be reprising her role of Agatha Harkness in a new WandaVision spinoff series for Disney+.
The series is described as a dark comedy and plot details are currently under wraps. WandaVision head writer and producer Jac Schaeffer will serve as writer and producer on the Agatha spinoff. This is Schaeffer’s first project since she set up her overall deal with Marvel Studios and 20th Century Television.
Agatha Harkness was a breakout character for WandaVision. It’s also no wonder that this spinoff is in development as WandaVision was the first Marvel Studios Disney+ series and it reached critical acclaim with 23 Emmy nominations.
The new Agatha Harkness series is part of a larger deal Kathryn Hahn signed with Marvel Studios to continue portraying Agatha in various Disney+ series and Marvel Studios films.
