Mary Poppins is heading to Epcot’s World Showcase

The United Kingdom pavilion will replicate Cherry Tree Lane and will feature an attraction.

The United Kingdom pavilion will be the first to ever get a Mary Poppins attraction in a Disney Park. The original film came out in 1964, so an attraction based on the classic film is long overdue. Even famed Imagineer Tony Baxter created a dark ride concept for Mary Poppins.

From the official Disney Parks Blog:

You will step in time down Cherry Tree Lane past Admiral Boom’s house, then enter Number 17, home of the Banks family, where your adventure will begin.

Disney didn’t describe the attraction but I have a feeling if we learned anything from this panel is that stuff can CHANGE. This meaning those Mary Poppins getting a carousel at Epcot rumors may be true they may not be. Just from the description of the overall area and the upcoming attraction, this seems more like a one-of-a-kind attraction instead of something that could be easily replicated.

At long last, Mary Poppins will be in the United Kingdom pavilion at Epcot. Here’s the official poster for her arrival. The poster features the new Epcot logo too.

We will find more out about the Mary Poppins attraction and construction at a later date.
