Nova is finally making his way to the MCU.
Marvel Studios is developing a Nova project with Moon Knight writer Sabir Pirzada. Right now it’s unclear whether the project will be a feature film or Disney+ series. The latter is more likely.
Marvel Studios President Kevin Feige will produce the project.
There have been two iterations of Nova in the comics, the Richard Rider version, and the Sam Alexander version. This MCU project is expected to be about Richard Rider.
As the Guardians of the Galaxy franchise winds down. This will be the perfect time for the MCU to introduce their next cosmic hero alongside Captain Marvel. Could Nova appear in The Marvels, Guardians of the Galaxy Vol.3, or even Secret Invasion? I guess we will find out.
Sabir Pirzada has worked in Marvel Studios’ writer’s community and most recently was a writer on Moon Knight.
