The new installment of the Lego Star Wars universe is bringing you the Skywalker Saga wrapped up into one game in Spring 2021. The latest Lego game will combine all of the Skywalker Saga movies into immersive Lego experience and is expected to be the biggest Lego Star Wars adventure to date.
“Quite frankly, this game is massive because it had to be,” Craig Derrick, managing producer at Lucasfilm Games told StarWars.com. “We needed the game to feel epic in scope and scale while bringing the player intimately closer to the action like never before.”
GamesCom2020 released a new, two-minute trailer for the game, with familiar voices and beautiful clips of the gameplay itself, starting all the way at the beginning at Anakin’s victorious podrace in ‘The Phantom Menace” to the legendary moment when Rey became a Skywalker in “The Rise of Skywalker.”
So as the second half of 2020 moves forward, here’s what Boardwalk Times knows about the most epic Lego Star Wars game to come.

Gameplay
The Lego games have changed in regards of gameplay and main objectives over the years. Early games allow players to jump from movie to movie or chapter to chapter looking for Minikits, character tokens, and other bonus collectibles while trying to collect enough studs to fill up the Superkit bar. But as new Lego games started to come out, the gameplay changed from collecting Minikits and character studs, the player runs freely through game level locations to find the characters, gold bricks and red bricks.
What is known about the gameplay is that the game will be huge, with 45 levels to complete, almost 500 characters to unlock and memorable planets and worlds from the films to fly between.

Story Mode
From what we know, the game will be similar to Lego Star Wars: The Complete Saga but with “The Force Awakens,” “The Last Jedi,” and “Rise of Skywalker” included as well.
This game will be the first time “The Last Jedi” and “Rise of Skywalker” will be officially adapted into a video game.
It also appears that the story levels from The Complete Saga are getting a remaster for the Skywalker Saga, according to the trailer. The remastered levels will have more detail on the first six Star Wars movies with the same Lego humor we know and love.
One thing we aren’t too sure of is whether the game will play as one giant story, knitting all nine films together, or if it will have the traditional set-up like The Complete Saga where players can go through each of the different films and play the individual chapters.

Release Date
The exact date is not specified, however, we now have a general release time of Spring 2021 with the debut of the latest trailer.
The very first official trailer for the game was shown on May the Fourth on the official Star Wars YouTube channel and at the end of the video, a release date of October 20, 2020, was shown. However, this appeared to be a mistake because the video was replaced and the date changed to just 2020.
There was another slip-up with accidentally released information when the Lego.com game page was reportedly updated on August 26 and showed that the game would be delayed until 2021. It was quickly taken down and the Spring 2021 release date was announced at GamesCom2020.
This article will be updated as information develops.
