Well the popular Cirque du Soleil show La Nouba will take its final bow this December. The show has been entertaining guests at Downtown Disney/Disney Springs for almost 20 years. The final performance will be December 31st, 2017.
There is a bright spot to this situation though.
“We are incredibly proud of the success that La Nouba has had for nearly two decades,” said Jerry Nadal, Senior Vice President of the Resident Shows Division for Cirque du Soleil. “We want to thank Walt Disney World Resort for a wonderful relationship over the years. We look forward to announcing what’s next for Cirque du Soleil.”
That’s exciting for the rest of us. A new Cirque du Soleil show will be heading to Disney Springs. This time I’m sure it will be more Disney related. Remember Avatar did just have a Cirque du Soleil arena tour. That could always be the replacement. Maybe Disney adn Cirque go old school and ressurect the fairy tale idea.
I will miss the iconic music and exciting acrobatics of La Nouba, but I’m glad were getting a suitable replacement.
