With Pete and I, the longer we knew each other the more we realized that we had an off-kilter take on, well, everything. Professor Overstreet and myself would find that every time we met we’d end up in a corner going on for hours about the oddest and nerdiest pieces of 20th-century pop culture.
Whatever we were talking about — Donald Duck, Logan’s Run, Planet of the Apes, Ralph Bakshi, Hammer Horror, etc. — we’d attack it like a garment to be pulled apart – thread by cultural and historical thread.
Surprisingly often the conversation landed on a discussion of theme parks — Disney, Universal, Six Flags, we loved them all.
After doing this sort of thing for years, we decided to turn the microphones on.

Circling around theme parks — attractions and lands, moods and themes, history and cultural impact — we try to find a new and different way of thinking about these, often well-trod, subjects and then we make a pitch on how we’d make them better!
We hope you’ll give it a listen.
