I’ll be doing a four-part series for Boardwalk Times about each internal candidate for Disney CEO. Our Disney Succession Series will cover Disney Entertainment Co-Chairman Dana Walden, Disney Experiences Chairman Josh D’Amaro, ESPN Chairman Jimmy Pitaro, and Disney Entertainment Co-Chairman Alan Bergman.
I’ll go over their strengths and weaknesses, their careers at large, and why each candidate may ascend to the top of the Mouse House. Each piece will be filled with insights, commentary, and analysis on each candidate.
Disney succession is heating up and to me, it was the perfect time to launch this series. Disney CEO Bob Iger’s contract is up in late 2026, and it’s rumored that Disney wants a successor at least named in early 2026 or sooner. With all this right around the corner, there is no better time to break this all down.
The series will be released daily starting Monday, October 28. Here is our schedule.
