Disney previously stated that Hocus Pocus 2 was in the works but today it’s been finally confirmed that Hocus Pocus 2 will debut on Disney+ in Fall 2022. The film will mark the returns of Bette Midler, Sarah Jessica Parker, and Kathy Najimy as the Sanderson sisters.
Filmmaker Adam Shankman is no longer directing the film due to a scheduling conflict. Shankman is directing Disenchanted, the highly-anticipated Enchanted follow-up for Disney+. His good friend Anne Fletcher will direct Hocus Pocus 2. This is something our friends at The DisInsider originally reported.
The original film premiered in 1993 and was directed by Kenny Ortega. The film would follow three villainous witches who were resurrected by a teenage boy on Halloween night. Hocus Pocus would become a Halloween favorite and a cult classic.
Hocus Pocus 2 will debut on Disney+ in Fall 2022.
