“Hagrid’s Magical Creatures Motorbike Adventure” will open at Universal’s Islands of Adventure on June 13

Universal and Comcast announced today that “The Wizarding World of Harry Potter — Hogsmeade” in Orlando, Florida will debut a brand-new highly-themed roller coaster experience on June 13.

The new attraction is named “Hagrid’s Magical Creatures Motorbike Adventure” and will take guests beyond Hogwarts Castle and into the Forbidden Forest. Guests will then join Hagrid on “a thrilling roller coaster ride that plunges into the paths of some of the wizarding world’s rarest magical creatures.”

Riders will be seated in a train. Each car will have two seats, one with a faux bike front and the other resembling a sidecar. Though not confirmed by Universal at this time, several inside sources and aerial photos of the construction suggest that the ride will swerve them throughout the forest after a greeting by Hagrid in his hut. Guests will encounter various magical creatures including Fluffy, the three-headed Cerberus dog from the first film and book as multiple launches, a backward portion, and even a sudden free-fall surprise them.

Universal Creative states that this is their most ambitious and themed roller coaster to date, and looks incredibly exciting. More information will be shared on March 11 during The Today Show, so be sure to wake up early to see what else our friendly half-giant has up his giant sleeves.
