‘The Fantastic Four: First Steps’ Gets a Special Look During D23

Audiences were treated to Joseph Quinn’s Human Torch costume.

The Marvel Studios panel at D23 mostly focused on the television side of the company but offered a glimpse at some upcoming films. One of those is Fantastic Four: First Steps, starring Pedro Pascal, Vanessa Kirby, Ebon Moss-Bachrach, and Joseph Quinn. The film only started filming on July 29th, so the cast sent a video thanking Marvel for the opportunity to bring the first family to life.

A clear look at Joseph Quinn’s Fantastic Four Uniform

The short video allows us to see Quinn in full costume for the first time, with a retro-60s aesthetic reminiscent of the classic comics. His white and blue color combo remains faithful to the concept art shown off earlier this year. It’s safe to assume the rest of the Fantastic Four will sport similar suits as Johnny.

Marvel also showed off the exclusive trailer from Comic-Con, where the four prepare for their space expedition through the lens of an informational documentary. The trailer concludes with a clear look at the main villain, Galactus, along with HERBIE the robot lurking in the background.

The Fantastic Four: First Steps is currently still filming for a July 25, 2025 release date.
