Miss Adventure Falls (Typhoon Lagoon)

The longest water ride to ever be introduced at Disney water parks. The attraction is just beyond Crush ‘N’ Gusher (Typhoon Lagoon’s last major attraction), and is a family raft ride. It’s a four person raft and you’ll travel pass artifacts. The attraction will also feature a Audio-Animatronic a first for Disney’s water parks. Here is Disney Park’s official synopsis for Miss Adventure Falls
“Just beyond the pineapple fields of Crush ’n’ Gusherawaits an all-new, family-raft attraction owned by Captain Mary Oceaneer — a sea-faring treasure hunter whose haul was caught in a rogue typhoon… and scattered across this tropical paradise years ago.
From your 4-person raft, feel a rush of excitement with family and friends as an aquatic conveyor belt chutes you into action. Then, hold on tight as you spy precious artifacts collected from all around the globe.”
I think a new water attraction is long overdue at Disney water parks.
Guardian of the Galaxy: Mission: Breakout (Disney’s California Adventure)

This announcement was plagued from the start. Rightfully so, due to the fact Disney fans are sentimental. Also that the Tower of Terror was a favorite of many. Fans that were freaking out stopped for a moment when Disney announced that Joe Rohde (the visionary behind countless Disney projects) was the leader for this project. I’m going on the positive side with this. I have feeling fans are going to legitimately enjoy this attraction. Between the killer soundtrack and the lovable characters. I think this attraction will be more impressive then the current credit it’s been given. Also another factor is that more children will likley ride an attraction that is named “Guardians of the Galaxy: Mission Breakout” then “Tower of Terror.” Just simply due to fear factor. Now the attraction will attract new audiences also.
Pandora: The World of Avatar (Disney’s Animal Kingdom)
Finally the wait is almost over. Soon we will be able to immerse ourself in Pandora: The World of Avatar. The floating mountains to the bioluminesce plants. Also checking out the stunning audio-animatronics that were developed for this experience.
See the Shaman freaks me out a little The skin and the eyes all of it looks too real. They have only announced two attractions for Pandora but both look like E-Ticket powerhouses. The first one is a lyrical boat ride called the Na’vi River Journey. The second attraction is Flight of Passage which currently looks like Soarin’ on steroids.
It will be interesting to see if Disney took any notes from Universal’s Diagon Alley. Which is truly brilliant. If Pandora is as authentic as the competitor across the street. Then this will be a home run for Disney both with the fans and the attendance. The addition of Pandora makes Animal Kingdom a destination park. This will be the most exciting Disney unveiling of 2017.
Disney Springs in General
The flurry of new restaurants that are scheduled to open. Paddlefish which is coming soon. It’s taking over the old Fulton’s Crab House right on the water. Planet Hollywood Observatory should be coming soon. Celebrity Chef Guy Fieri will be curating the menu for Planet Hollywood. The restaurant will feature over-the-top burgers and sandwiches and wicked milkshakes. Also highly-anticipated The Edison will finally arrive at Disney Springs in 2017.
D23 2017
Yes I know this doesn’t count as a experience at a Disney Park. Although D23 may giveaway some pretty important park news. Chairman of Disney Parks and Resorts Bob Chapek was teasing about new additions to Epcot. So D23 could affect what experiences you see in 2018, 2019, 2020, and beyond!
2017 seems like another exciting year for the Disney Parks!
