Thomas Mazloum, president of Disney Signature Experiences, shared updates on the Disney Cruise Line at Destination D23. The Disney Cruise Line is amidst a period of growth, and the division is building three new ships but they are also building a brand-new island destination at Lighthouse Point in the Bahamas.

Mazloum revealed that the new island destination would be called Disney Lookout Cay at Lighthouse Point. So, Lookout Cay will now join Castaway Cay as the two Disney Cruise Line-owned island destinations.

Lookout Cay at Lighthouse Point is starting to take shape. Disney is collaborating with talented artists and cultural advisors in the Bahamas to create an experience that celebrates the natural beauty, traditions, and artistry of the one-of-a-kind nation. Lookout Cay will be inspired by the island nation’s rich culture, traditions, and stories.

Lookout Cay will also have plenty of Disney-designed amenities ranging from family fun areas, adult-only secluded sections, and areas just for kids.

The first preview sailing for Lookout Cay will take place June 6, 2024, through June 9, 2024, and will sail out of Fort Lauderdale, Florida. The inaugural sailing to Lookout Cay will be a 7-night cruise from the Disney Fantasy out of Port Canaveral, Florida from June 8, 2024, through June 15, 2024. There will also be a variety of summer 2024 sailings to Lookout Cay at Lighthouse Point, including a 3-night Bahamain Cruise from Fort Lauderdale, a 4-night Bahamain Cruise from Fort Lauderdale, a 5-night Bahamain Cruise from Fort Lauderdale, and a 10-night Southern Caribbean Cruise from Port Canaveral.
